ABOUT
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. So in other words, when life gave me a Disney Princess Power Wheel, the obvious thing I have to do is turn it into a go kart!
Just want to start off by saying that yes, this build was inspired by the Barbie kart that was built by the Grind Hard Plumbing Co. YouTube Channel. If you haven’t checked out their build, be sure to do so.
This all started when a family friend was getting rid of a power wheels mustang. Wanting to build my very own power wheels go kart, I started shopping for a good donor vehicle for the project.
That’s when I found the heart and soul of this project. A 2010 SodiKart GT5. This kart is a retired rental kart from a track around me. It has some hours on it and is abused but I don’t intend on keeping the kart in once piece for long! It has a 212cc Honda motor, a wet clutch, and a massive axle making it the perfect drive train for this Power Wheels build.
A lot of power wheels builds I’ve seen either modify the body of the power wheels and drop it onto an existing go kart. I did not want to do this and committed myself to stuffing all the go kart components into this tiny vehicle.
If you’re wondering how I’m going to stuff a SodiKart GT5 into the mustang, I’m wondering the same thing. This should be an extremely fun project! Keep watching to see exactly how I do it!
